My Transformation: Before and After
Disclaimer: It’s not actually “after” – I still have ±7.5kg’s to go, but I’m just about there..
Ok, so around May, I got sick and tired of being sick and tired from being overweight. I was carrying around over 40kg’s – yes, thats FORTY KILGRAMS – of extra fat and I was over it. My self-confidence had bottomed out. I was listless… Had no “vooma” to do anything. I become introverted. Let’s face it, bottom line was that I’d eaten myself into depression.
My awesome wife made a booking with a certain Dr Cohen who puts together rapid weight loss diets and presto, I’m now 36.5 kilograms lighter and I’m feeling UNBELIEVABLE! My confidence is back and I’m absolutely loving life.
@JonathanAB asked me the other day for some inspiration and I told him something that I thought I would blog about here cos it is really effective. Got lots of pictures of yourself? Make a ‘fat folder’ – a folder of pictures where you look disgusting and you know it. Pictures with your belly hanging out, with your chubby cheeks full of food..
Collect all the pictures together and make them your screensaver, or keep them in a easy-to-access place. Look at them often. Recognize that you look horrible in the pictures and remember that feeling. Remember how crap you feel and assure yourself that you’re not gonna feel like that again.
I recently did this and its really motivated me during this last phase of my weight loss. To further add to my motivation, I thought I’d make these pictures public. Brace yourself… It ugly :P

What a difference hey?
I’m really proud of myself and I think it’s good that I feel that way. I really want to finish the job and get rid of my “boep” and then start get back to gym, which I’m actually missing, surprisingly enough.
Anyways, I wanted to blog this as further motivation for myself and also to hopefully inspire others who’ve got a couple KG’s to lose. If you’re off the wagon, get back on it. If you’ve been threatening to lose weight, but just aren’t getting around to it, just do it! Don’t start tomorrow, start today.. start anytime of the day too.. Just start! Get your mind and your ass in gear!
